Sr. Software Engineer

Our client is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer to help their team build the next-generation web application that drives their daily operations. They will be focused on advertising delivery and content usage highly complex systems that are a lifeline to the organization. Responsibilities

Building APIs that apply complex business operations over extremely large data, as well as CRUD operations

Actively participate in database schema design with the Product and the Data/ETL team to optimize work around repeated operations

Modeling SQL tables for use with an ORM

Writing Component level tests for APIs using Jest or a similar framework.

Building UI components within a React Framework accessing data via GraphQL and REST

Collaborate efficiently with product management, technical program management, operations, and other engineers to capture requirements, create solutions, and drive implementation.

Qualifications

5 years of experience building Full Stack Applications with React, a styling system such as SCSS or StyledComponents, GQL, and REST APIs

3-5 years recent delivering software solutions in a Python/Flask container, preferably as the middle tier solution

1-3 years of experience retrieving data from SQL databases with an ORM like Sequalize and direct SQL queries.

Some experience building Unit/Component level tests in Jest

Ability to apply complex business logic and contractual rules to large sets of data

Proficient with build and deploy applications such as Docker containers on AWS

Solid understanding of software engineering processes and tools (CI/CD, Git, Jenkins)Python/API dev, React Front-end
