Our client, a leading financial services firm in St. Louis, is looking for a Sr. Data Scientist to join their analytics center of excellence. This individual will be responsible for the design and development of complex mathematical methods and statistical models in support of data driven strategies.  The role requires the ability to leverage data from multiple sources to develop innovative solutions to business problems. In addition to a solid quantitative foundation, this individual must be capable of working closely with business partners to develop tailored analytic solutions and guiding projects from design through implementation and delivery.

-Use statistical modeling, machine learning and numerical optimization to discover and leverage patterns in data
-Define data needs and evaluate data quality
-Interpret and communicate findings and insights from the data to business partners


-Masters degree in a quantitative field, PhD preferred
-7+ years experience with statistical modeling or numerical optimization
-Proficient in one or more programming languages (Python, R, Scala)
-Comfortable manipulating data in one or more of (SQL, Hive, Impala, Pig, Spark)
-Ability to translate data into meaningful value propositions for business partners



Salary up to $160K + bonus.
