Senior Data Scientist

Our client, a leading retailer within the automotive industry, is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to aid in solving a wide array of business problems using ML techniques. Business problems you’d be helping solve include but are not limited to pricing, demand prediction, headcount optimization, and process optimization.

We’re helping an established automotive retailer in their search for a Senior Data Scientist – Predictive Analytics who can use ML techniques alongside predictive analytics to solve various business problems ranging from pricing, headcount optimization, marketing, and more. You will also provide mentorship to less experienced data scientists on the team.

Responsibilities:

• Using data from multiple sources to create predictive models and improve existing ones.
• Determining what data is required to improve models and leading the mining and analysis of that data.
• Creating data-driven solutions for business needs and presenting them to C-suite and other stakeholders.
• Providing mentorship and technical supervision to junior data scientists.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in the data science industry (preferably with retail or ecommerce experience however not required).
• Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative field.
• Experience in machine learning and with statistical modeling techniques.
• Experience with predictive analytics (e.g forecasting inventory, demand prediction, product recommender systems, etc).
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Proven capability of working with large datasets from various sources.
