Rich Text Editor, editor1We're working with an agile gaming / betting company to find a Data Scientist to take data-driven decision making to the next level. This downtown-Chicago based office acts as the central analytics hub for nationwide gaming initiatives, and they're looking for an innovative and self-directed individual with a deeply inquisitive nature. This position is a green field situation with very little red tape, and the level of responsibility and authority granted will be commensurate with your experience and performance .
A successful candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing large data sets, utilizing SQL extensively to provide customer insights for use in product and marketing decision-making. The company has a vibrant and attractive culture, offers competitive benefits, and is located in a lively area of downtown. This client has made it clear that demonstrated talent and drive will be rewarded. What you do with this role is largely determined by how much you can handle. Although this client is open to a range of experience, no entry level candidates will be considered.
Bachelor's degree in an applied quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Econometrics, etc.
3+ years of professional work experience
SQL expertise required
Data visualization skills
Knowledge of statistical modeling methodologies like regression and clustering
Strong communication skills, specifically the ability to translate data and analytical results into intuitive explanations and business insights
Experience in the casino or sports industry is a plus
Salary up to ~100k plus competitive bonus.  No visa sponsorship provided at this time.
