We serve as research experts to our clients, helping them advance key business objectives by designing, executing, and analyzing proprietary field research and online quantitative studies on their behalf. Our growing Comperemedia Consultancy team is seeking a dynamic, Senior Custom Research Analyst capable both of independently owning client-facing custom research projects from start to finish and of working collaboratively as part of a team. The Senior Research Analyst will also assist in the growth of Mintel’s custom research opportunities by ensuring excellent deliverables and client service support.

This person can expect individually-driven work in the context of a supportive team environment, training and coaching on research methodologies and project execution, client exposure in a consultative setting and opportunities to advance within a company that promotes and rewards success.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Interface with clients by delivering in-person and phone presentations, answering questions, addressing concerns, and explaining methodologies
  • Interact with Mintel sales and field operations colleagues, as well as external sample providers to execute projects
  • Lead project level work by example and deed. Specifically, manage and support quantitative and qualitative custom research projects from kick-off to completion, including: survey design and programming, fielding, data analysis, project management, and final reporting
  • Leverage strong problem solving skills to analyze complex data to provide insightful implications and actionable recommendations within the context of the client’s business objectives and competitive environment
  • Collaborate with curious minds in an open office environment , or take advantage of quiet work space in the office or work from home options to focus on individual tasks
  • Support the team’s commercial activities by assisting with scoping new opportunities and proposal writing
  • Work on projects for well-known brand names , helping them to understand what makes their customers tick

What We’re Looking For:

  • 6+ years’ experience in a market research role (experience with financial services, telecom, insurance and/or retail sectors a plus)
  • Experience independently managing primary, custom marketing research projects
  • Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail
  • Excellent professional writing and communication skills
  • High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (e.g. pivot tables, complex charting, etc.)
  • Self-starter who embraces new challenges
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to multi-task several projects at once; prioritizing between independent deadlines
  • Experience in the following is desired:
    • Drafting and programming research surveys
    • Client Service
    • Field Research
    • Survey Analysis tools such as SAS, SPSS, or cross-tabulation software
